There’s a new pop-up in town – Taste Film, the immersive cinema dining experience that brings a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘watch what you eat’.
On Sunday 5 March, Taste Film transformed The Diner Strand into a ‘dine-thru’ cinema for one night only, so we headed down to catch Quentin Tarantino’s cult classic Pulp Fiction, served up with all the trimmings. The concept promises to immerse you in the film by serving up a five-course menu where each dish is prompted by a culinary moment in the movie.
We’re sure you can guess at what a few of these might be…
“Mmm… this is a tasty burger”
Cue: cheeseburger and fries
“I gotta know what a five-dollar shake tastes like”
Cue: creamy vanilla milkshake
But it was the least obvious culinary segue that was probably the most fun. As an OD-ing Mia receives an adrenaline shot straight to the heart, we received a hit of Agwa de Bolivia straight down our necks.
We’re told their next event will be at The Parlour, Kensal Green on Sunday 7th May. Keep an eye on their website for tickets.
