Listen up people! This is one event that I am really excited about!
The Cider Box is bringing Somerset to East London on Saturday 16th November at the Queen of Hoxton. It’s a FREE, one-off event that guarantees to inject some rural heat into the urban freeze. The night will feature real ciders (including, of course, hot spiced cider and cider-brandy cocktails), pulled pork, acoustic music, crafts and games, a fire-pit, wigwam, and more!
The Cider Box was created by Somerset born, London bred, Dan Heath and he is on a crusade to bring real cider to the masses. Working with artisan and farmhouse producers of real cider in Somerset and across the South West and armed with stories and secrets of their beautiful creations, Dan wants to achieve the goal of educating landlords and drinkers around the country. A dream I to share!
So if you love your scrumpy or feel like educating your tastebuds in real cider, then you need to head to The Queen Of Hoxton on the 16th for a night of all things appley!
Also they’ve decided to donate profits from the sale of Wilkin’s cider on the day to Strummerville as Joe Strummer once said that his idea of heaven was, “lying in a field with a flagon of Wilkin’s cider!”
