We were recently invited for an evening of wining, dining and ice-cream lolly tasting at Heddon Street Kitchen, part of the Gordon Ramsay Group. Located just a stone throw away from bustling Regent Street, this stylish all-day restaurant and bar has unveiled a new Kitchen Table offering, which packs a serious punch of flavour and variety.
Heddon Street Kitchen is a beautiful and brooding space over two floors, with a stylish mix of vintage and modern and now a special kitchen table that sits plum in front of the open kitchen, so that guests can keep an eye on all proceedings and watch this masterful feast come alive!
After starting with a sneak peak of the summer cocktails upstairs, we enjoyed a specially curated menu from Heddon Street Kitchen’s Head Chef Guy Betteridge. Guests are invited to sample exceptional canapés, such as the Salt Beef Brisket on Buckwheat Crackers and the Rillettes of Scottish Salmon with Avocado.
Guests need to be careful with how heavy the hit the entrées though as soon the starters are racked up with an ensemble of Scallops, Tuna Tartare and beautiful Butternut Squash Flatbreads with Caperberries and Tallegio.
But the best was yet to come, we were pleasantly surprised with the party piece, a full Beef Wellington for the table with Truffle Parsley Mash, Braised Ox Cheek and Crispy Shallots. That’s what we’re talking about!
As a final special surprise, we were treated to a sneak peak of the sweet and savoury ice-cream lollies ahead of Heddon Street Kitchen’s summer residency launch later this summer. From the 28th of June until 21st of August, Heddon Street Kitchen is celebrating all that is cold, sweet and naughty with its Summer Promenade, a create-your-own ice cream lolly pop-up, in collaboration with Italian frozen dessert specialist Carpigiani.
he vintage-inspired Summer Promenade, located in Regent Street’s Food Quarter, invites guests to create their own ice cream lollies using fun flavours – raspberry, lychee and rose; wild strawberry; fig; Kalamansi Lime and coconut or choose Heddon Street Kitchen’s signature, the surprisingly delicious salt and vinegar ice cream. Pile the frozen treats with bold toppings – doughnut crumbs and charred pineapple – and finish with exciting sauces including the delicious toasted marshmallow. For the adults, there’s some boozy sauces too, such as Finlandia vodka caramel, coconut rum, and Kirsch coulis. Plus, all the ice cream is gluten and dairy free, an indulgent treat without the guilt!
If you fancy a monumental feasting with your friends then you can book the kitchen table experience for a superb £65 per person, get involved now!
