Skye Gyngell is hosting the second in a series of curated events called The Salon Series which have been put together to educate and entertain on a variety of issues including ethical fashion, food wastage and design. ‘Young People in Food’ will take place in the plant-filled conservatory of Spring, Skye’s restaurant in Somerset House, this Tuesday 18 April.
Headed up by author and chef Jourdan Bourke, the event will see a panel of culinary talent discuss their experiences on getting started in the industry. The line-up of speakers is looking fantastic, so head down to hear talks from writer and photographer duo Megan Abbott and Issy Croker (better known as The Curious Pear), Martin Labron-Johnson (head chef at Michelin starred restaurant Portland and the more recently-opened Clipstone), and Izy Hossack (2016 YBFs winner and the brains behind blog Top With Cinnamon).
Tickets are priced at £37 and include a welcome drink, a three-course sustainable dinner known as the Scratch menu, and, of course, access to the talks.
